Promoting understanding of male psychological issues
A UK-based organization dedicated to advancing the understanding of male psychology and improving mental health outcomes for men and boys.
To raise awareness, promote research, and improve clinical practice related to the psychological needs and challenges specific to men and boys.
A world where the psychological well-being of men and boys is understood, valued, and supported across society.
The Center for Male Psychology was established to address the growing concern that male psychological issues are often misunderstood or overlooked in mainstream psychology. It emerged from the work of practitioners and researchers who saw a need for more male-inclusive approaches to therapy, particularly for issues like male suicide, fatherhood, and relationship challenges.
The Center has contributed to a growing body of research on male psychology and has influenced how professionals approach therapy with male clients. It helped inspire the British Psychological Society’s Male Psychology Section and supports increased academic recognition of male-specific psychological concerns.
