Justin Trottier

Justin Trottier is a Canadian secular activist, media commentator, and nonprofit leader. He is best known for founding the Centre for Inquiry Canada and the Canadian Secular Alliance. Trottier has also been involved in men's issues advocacy and media engagement on topics related to religion, science, and social policy. His work has often focused on promoting secularism and reason in public discourse.

Justin Trottier co-founded the Centre for Inquiry Canada in 2007 and served as its first National Executive Director, helping to establish it as a hub for secular humanist activities in the country. He later became the spokesperson for the Canadian Secular Alliance, where he advocated for the separation of religion and government in Canadian policy. In addition to secular activism, Trottier co-founded the Canadian Association for Equality (CAFE), focusing on issues related to gender equity and men’s health. He has frequently appeared in national media to discuss secularism, free speech, and social justice topics. His public outreach work has aimed to foster inclusive, rational discussion across ideological divides.
